Jenny Zuniga

Drums and Percussion

Influenced by a Grandfather who is a former conductor for the United States Navy and professional trombone player, Jenny Zuniga decided to join the school’s junior high marching band in 1983.  Determined to learn how to play the flute, she was convinced by her childhood best friend to try out for the drum section – disapprovingly agreed to do so and has never been the same since.

Studying in school for six years with a specialty in concert snare, Jenny Zuniga focused her training on drum rudiments and solo snare competitions until she graduated in 1989.  Putting her sticks down for more than 10 years, Jenny decided to buy a drum kit from a friend.  Happily disturbing all the neighbors, Jenny found her passion again.

In 2009 and four drum kits later, Jenny joined Kennedy Bakery.
